Lamina Amatyakul Vedder
Come as you are and let the practice do its work!
Born in the United States with roots in Thailand, Hong Kong and Germany, Lamina discovered yoga at the age of sixteen as a way to navigate life's challenges and has been teaching yoga since 2020. Growing up between different cultures has nurtured a curiosity that continues to shape both her practice and the way she holds space for others. Her teaching has been shaped by years of dedicated practice and study within the Vinyasa, Ashtanga and Jivamukti Yoga traditions. While her practice is deeply rooted in Ashtanga and Jivamukti Yoga, it is her own experience—both on and beyond the mat—that most profoundly shapes the way she teaches today. A lifelong student of yoga herself, Lamina continues to approach the practice with curiosity, humility and a deep appreciation for its ability to evolve alongside life. Lamina's classes are dynamic, intentional and uplifting, weaving together intelligent sequencing, carefully curated music, hands-on assists and thoughtful philosophy. She teaches not from a place of perfection, but from lived experience—inviting students to cultivate presence, compassion and an honest relationship with themselves. Inspired by her own practice, Lamina invites students to explore strength with softness, discipline with joy, and movement as a form of meditation. Her classes encourage students to move with intention, breathe with awareness, and reconnect with themselves—one breath, one movement at a time. Above all, Lamina hopes her students leave each class feeling a little more connected—to themselves, to one another, and to the quiet joy of being fully alive.
